The earliest we can typically lock your loan is when we prepare initial disclosures.
However, depending on the scenario and investor chosen, we may not be able to lock your loan until the Pre-underwriting/ status.
REQUESTING A LOCK BEFORE SENDING DISCLOSURES
Check the "Lock at Registration" checkbox
Prior to moving your file to "Ready to Disclose" you will under your file with all the required information we need, on the Borrower record. Here's a Cheat Sheet of the information you will provide.
At this point, you'll also check the "Locked at Registration" checkbox. Remember to pull a quote and input all Loan Information so the Lock Desk knows what to lock.
REQUESTING A LOCK AFTER SENDING DISCLOSURES OR LOCK EXTENSION
Update all information under "Loan Information" on the Borrower Record
Please ensure you update ALL INFORMATION in the "Loan Information" section before setting a task for the Lock Desk to lock the loan.
Remember to update the following:
- Amortization Period
- Amortization Type
- ARM Term - if applicable
- Selected Quote - the new Quote ID #
- Interest Rate
- if for lock extension please state the number of days to extend lock in comments
